See how much control you have over your programmatic.
For marketing, finance, media and technology leaders. Two scores in about six minutes. Own: how much of your cost, supply and data you control. Run: whether AI agents could act inside your setup without costing you money. You see your result before we ask for an email.
A score, a position, and three next steps.
The result is on screen the moment you finish. The full two-page readout is optional and goes to your work email.
Own and Run, each out of 18.
Own covers the business case, visibility, talent, data, control of the stack and governance. Run covers use case, data access, guardrails, proof, portability and accountability.
Build the foundation, Own the stack, Agents on rented rails, or Own and run.
Every position has a useful first move, including the ones that do not lead to us.
In order, specific, and honest.
The result says what to fix first. If the right answer is to stay with your partner for now, it says so.
Answers describe what you can show, not how advanced you feel.
Each scored question has four answers worth 0 to 3 points. Your Own and Run scores are each the sum of six answers, out of 18. The split between positions is at 10 of 18 on each axis.
The result is self-reported. It shows how ready you say you are, not how your systems perform. The cut-offs are our judgment, not an industry benchmark. We will review them after the first 100 responses and say so here.
Your organization, your role, how much programmatic you buy, sell or manage, and how it runs today. Your role and spend shape the notes on your result. They do not change your score.
Six on Own and six on Run, one per dimension.
What would help most, and when you expect to act. These do not change your score.
Interest in in-housing and in agentic buying is high. Readiness is a separate question.
Our point of view: agents act inside the stack you control. If you rent the stack, you rent the agent’s judgment. That is a position, not a measured finding.
In-housing keeps growing.
In its 2026 State of In-Housing report (June 22, 2026), the ANA says its jurors are five times more likely to say marketers are in-housing more than ever than to say they are pulling back.
Awareness of agentic buying is near universal.
IAB's 2026 Outlook Study (January 2026) found that 96 percent of U.S. buy-side decision-makers are aware of agentic AI ad buying, and two-thirds are focused on it for ad buying and campaign execution. Awareness is not adoption.
The standards are still forming.
ExchangeWire reported on January 14, 2026 that five protocol efforts had emerged, among them AdCP, IAB Tech Lab’s ARTF and MCP. One Exchange CEO called the result a “soup of confusion.” Agents were active in demos but short of real scale.
Before you start.
How long does it take?
About six minutes. There are 18 questions, one per screen.
Do I need to give my email?
No. You see your result without any contact details. We ask for a work email only if you want the full readout.
What do I get?
Two scores out of 18, your position on a two-by-two, your strongest and weakest areas, three next steps built from your lowest answers, and a note on whether changing your operating model makes sense at your spend.
Is this a sales pitch?
No. Some results tell you to stay with your current partner and fix the contract first, and the assessment says so in plain words. ViSTARS builds programmatic infrastructure you own, with the source code, and runs Vi-Agent, so we are not neutral. Our view is built into the questions: control comes before agents. You are free to disagree with it.
What does agentic trading mean?
Software agents that monitor, decide and act on trading tasks within limits you set. The industry has not settled on one definition, so we ask about the specific things agents do and the controls around them.
Who sees my answers?
Your answers stay in your browser until you reach the result. If you ask for the readout, we store your answers with your email and company, and use them to send the readout and follow up on it.
